The Australian VC was established as
part of the Australian system of Honours and Awards 15th January 1991. It will be identical to the British Award and still made by Hancocks UK. There have been two VC for Australian recommendations- one to an Australian SAS member for Afghanistan and one to recognize Charles Simpson Kirkpatrick, the Gallipoli ``Simpson and his
Donkey.
